The view of the Grand Canyon from the air- my first, and so far, only- was so incredible... I was on a white-knuckles-all-around flight from Boston, several weeks after 9/11, that was inexplicably routed through Phoenix on the way to Seattle. But when I was watching this particular sunset, I forgot about everything else.
